The Board of Fire Commissioners of the Valhalla Fire District has adopted a budget for 2010 in the amount of $673,648.00 which represents a 2.3% increase over 2009.

The Board of Fire Commissioners was very cognizant of the economic conditions our taxpayers now find themselves in with increase costs, difficulty in paying mortgage payments, loss of jobs and new increases in taxes from all levels of government. Recognizing this, the Board reviewed our budget line by line to attempt to make a thorough review of the items which make up each item in the budget. Based upon that fact, the Board adopted the Budget at its September 8, 2009 meeting.

The Board of Fire Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the budget on Tuesday October 20, 2009 at 7:30 pm at 330 Columbus Avenue, Valhalla.
