In June of 2004, the Valhalla Fire District, in cooperation with the fire companies, instituted the Fire Squad Program.       The purpose of the Fire Squad, is to stimulate the interest and train youths for volunteer services in Valhalla’s Fire Companies.       To qualify for membership, an applicant must meet the following qualifications: 1. Applicant must be between the ages of 16 and 18 years of age 2. Reside in the Valhalla Fire District or adjourning district 3. Written conscent of a parent or legal guardian submitted with the application 4. Parent or guardian must supply a copy of the applicant’s birth certificate 5. All applicants must have a physical conducted by the Fire District Medical Director prior to acceptance 6.
