The Valhalla Fire Department and North White Plains Fire Company No. 1 were dispatched to the area of the Kensico Dam to rescue a person that was stuck about 30 to 40 feet up a tree. The person was difficult to locate at first due to the person not knowing exactly where they were. Eventually through cell phone contact the fire departments were able to locate the subject in a tree by the Route 22 entrance/exit ramp to the Bronx River Parkway. Crews from Ladder 47 raised their aerial ladder to the subject while crews from Engine 82, Rescue 9 and Utility 59 assisted in gaining access to the location of where the subject was. Crew members from Ladder 47 were able to successfully rescue the subject and bring them to an awaiting Valhalla Ambulance Corps ambulance. Also on scene were was Westchester EMS medics, Mt. Pleasant Police Department New York, North Castle Police, Westchester County Police, and the DEP Police.
