VFD and Elmsford Fire and EMS were dispatched to an MVA with injuries on the Sprain Brook Parkway in the area of Payne Street. First arriving units located a one car accident with extensive damage to the nearby guardrail. The patient was tended to by Elmsford EMS. While crews awaited the removal of the vehicle, they were alerted of another accident just North of the accident scene. Units responded and confirmed a second accident. Valhalla Ambulance and the Mt Pleasant Medic were dispatched to evaluate the patients. Crews were operating at the second accident when motorists reported an additional accident once again North of the accident scene. Units relocated to the third accident and the Westchester County EMS ambulance 89B2 and medic 89M1 were dispatch. Crews provided traffic control while the patient was taken into the care of EMS. After about an hour on the parkway, Valhalla FD units were released by command.
