Valhalla FAST was requested to Elmsford for a working structure fire. First arriving crews from Elmsford, Fairview, Hartsdale, and Irvington knocked down fire on the exterior of the residence. FAST members began to “soften” the building by creating paths of egress and removing fencing near the structure. Once the FAST was put to work crews assisted with interior operations. Due to the heat and extensive overhaul, additional manpower was needed so a 2nd alarm was called for by command. The fire was brought under control and units were released by command.
