Today the Valhalla Fire Department along with the North White Plains Fire Company No. 1 and the Mt. Pleasant Police Department New York were dispatched to 73 Cleveland St for a reported structure fire. Upon arrival of Engine 84 heavy smoke was found coming from the house. A working fire assignment was requested which brought in assistance from surrounding agencies. The fire was quickly knocked down and contained to the kitchen. Two dogs were rescued from the house and turned over to the owners. We would like to thank all mutual aid companies which included Valhalla Ambulance Corps, Briarcliff Manor Fire Department, Elmsford Fire Department, Hawthorne Fire, and the North White Plains Fire Department and the Thornwood Fire Department. Thanks also goes to the Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department and West Harrison Fire Department for covering our district while units were operating at the fire.
